Carey Alexander Graham was born and raised in the unceded sovereign territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe nation, and currently operates in the sovereign territory of the Mississaugas of the New Credit and Haudenosaunee, bound by the laws of the Dish With One Spoon, the Two Row Wampum, the Twenty-Four Nations Wampum, and the Covenant Chain, affirmed by Royal Proclamation of 1763, by Treaty #3 of 1792, and by the Constitution Act, 1982 and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

They are a licensed paralegal, under the Law Society of Ontario, a notary public, and mediator, trained in Third Party Neutral Mediation from the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution (CICR), and a member in good standing with the ADR Institute of Ontario (ADRIO/ADRIC). They are a member of the Ontario Paralegal Association.
